Awesome day

Today was a special day because it was our speakers mothers birthday.
Straight to the word, he tackled Zacchaeus story. His reference verses were ;
1st Timothy 6:10
Luke 19:4
1st John5:13
1st John 1:9.

Zacchaeus was a tax collector and a chief tax collector for that matter,he had worked his way up from a general collector to the chief position. On his way up he had enriched himself
1st Timothy 6:10- 'For the love of money is a source of all kinds of evil. Some have wandered away from the faith and have broken their hearts with many sorrows' GN


Luke 19:4-'so he ran ahead of the crowd and climbed the sycomore tree to see Jesus, who was going to pass that way' GN

That a whole rich and prominent member of society climbs on a tree, what view would we have of him?
The speaker went on to say that for one to inherit the kingdom of God you must lower your self (humble your self) and He will raise you up.
